The Sydney Bus Museum has a unique opportunity to acquire the one and only operational pre-war Sydney double decker bus, Leyland TD4 1379. Help us raise $25,000 to acquire this rare vehicle for the Sydney Bus Museum collection.

Help us buy this rare 1930s bus

Leyland TD4 1379 was fully restored by Sydney Bus Museum Member, David Griffiths. It's the only currently operable pre-war Sydney double decker on permanent loan to the Museum.

David has recently decided to hand in his heavy vehicle licence and has offered this very rare bus for sale to the Sydney Bus Museum.

This striking red 1937 bus has been a regular performer with the Museum's heritage bus operations in recent years.  We now have this unique opportunity to own this bus and secure its long-term future at the Sydney Bus Museum.

The Museum is very keen to conclude this purchase, however, we can only do this with your financial support.

We need to raise $25,000 to cover the purchase price of this rare vehicle. Can you help us to acquire this extremely rare bus?

All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
