We are a proudly a volunteer based organisation. Share your skills, gain new experiences and meet new friends through volunteering.

 

We're always seeking people with the appropriate skills to assist us with managing ticket sales, assisting visitors as guides and crewing/maintaining our historic collection of vehicles and artefacts.

Current Opportunities

We are presently actively seeking volunteers for the following key roles:

​

Qualified Mechanics

• Experienced diesel and heavy vehicle mechanics

• Regular servicing and mechanical repairs to buses

• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn

• Trade qualifications an advantage

​

Store Person

• Sorting and packing of spare parts

• Manual handling of objects

• Cataloguing and labelling

• Prior experience with warehousing an advantage

Volunteering expands your skills and experience, increases your employability and is a way to stay active and engaged with the community. We are especially interested in people who have had a working history in the transport industry.

 

Sydney Bus Museum is a fun and inclusive organisation, with strong social and collaboration values. We all pitch in to get the job done.

We are flexible with volunteer time commitments and schedule our supervised works days on Wednesday and Saturdays (including evenings), with our events typically on Sundays and Public Holidays.
